Our homes are NOT
the city's piggy bank.
INTEGRITY · ACCOUNTABILITY · RESULTS

Mario Reyes is a Texan, born and raised. He grew up in Corpus Christi, graduated from Ray High School, and earned a Bachelor of Business Studies in Finance from Dallas Baptist University.
Mario spent more than 16 years in federal service with the U.S. General Services Administration. As a federal Contracting Officer for 16 years, Mario negotiated and managed government contracts and held contractors to their commitments. That is exactly the experience Kyle needs to get its Capital Improvement Projects back on track.
In 2017, after Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, through GSA, Mario volunteered for the Small Business Administration's Surge Force Team. For seven weeks of 12-hour days, he helped families assess the damage to their homes so they could get the help they needed to rebuild.
Mario and his wife of 43 years, Kelly, moved to Kyle in 2007 and raised their three sons, Ryan, Brycen and Austin. Today they have seven grandchildren, with an eighth on the way. The family also owns Results Weight Loss and Med Spa in Kyle and Buda. When he isn't campaigning, you'll find Mario on his bike on Kyle's roads and trails.
Kyle is growing fast, and Kyle families are paying for it. Projects voters approved are behind schedule, and when the city needs money, homeowners are the first stop. Mario will change that.
Kyle voters approved road bonds in 2022, including the Vybe trail. Too many of those projects are still behind. Mario will bring 16 years of contract oversight to City Hall.
A Strategic Capital Reserve Fund to help pay for Kyle's infrastructure over the next 10 to 15 years and beyond, so the city doesn't automatically turn to homeowners.
People who spent decades building their lives here should be able to stay in their homes.
Mario's brother served 38 years as a Dallas police officer, so Mario knows firsthand what officers and their families give. He will make sure Kyle's police and firefighters have what they need as the city grows.
"On city council, my focus is your roads, your water and your tax bill."
